Neil grew up on small pig farm nature-scape in rural Western Kentucky. It was there he developed a deep appreciation for the hand-made—whether while making salt dough sculptures with his mother or learning to crochet with his grandmother, he realized the hands are wonderful tool for creating. From there he went on to get his BFA from the University of Kentucky where he studied graphic design and painting.

For thirty years, Neil has created award winning brand design and advertising communications for many of the worlds largest brands. His work has been recognized nationally and inter-nationally, and has garnered Best Of Show honors at The Art Directors Club of New York, The One Club and the Clios. He has guest lectured on the subject of design around the world and is a former senior portfolio instructor at the School Of Visual Arts in Manhattan.  His design work is part of the permanent collection of The Smithsonian Institute’s Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum.

Neil lives and works from his studio in Bovina Center, NY with his dog Which Way and pig Toodle Loo.
